the Son shines down on the field
as the sky erupts in glorious light.
clothed in white
from head to toe,
an eternal reign
no shame to show.
crowned in flowers and freedom
she is all He ever longed for.
nothing more
and nothing less.
so undeserving
yet seen at her best.
she has walked through her failures
in the valleys so deep
she has climbed up the mountains
though her shame made it steep.
she laughs and He smiles.
she will never be alone.
she will reign with Him
as He sits on His throne.
-the bride of Christ
The Lord has been teaching me about the sweet freedom He allows for us to walk in, and what it means to walk as His beloved despite all the mistakes we've made or shame we've carried. I wrote this poem in response to my own experience walking in that glorious freedom and choosing to learn what it means to see myself as a loved daughter of the highest King.
I wanted to take a few weeks to share some of the poems that the Lord has inspired me to write during my time on the Race. I will be publishing multiple a week as well as explaining the meaning behind them and what they have meant to me in my walk with the Lord. This is the VERY first time that I am choosing to publicly share my poems so I am both excited and nervous! Thanks for being on this journey with me and for allowing me to share my heart. Love you all.
